I grew up in the UK, studied Japanese at university and first came out to Okinawa around 10 years ago. Now I live here with my family and have started OCF to share the hard, fun training methods I have found over the years with new friends here.
In our training we push the whole body through exercises proven to push the limits of muscular strength and endurance, total body power and cardiovascular fitness. We train outside and use a wide range of techniques and equipment from barbells and resistance bands to sand bags and hammers. Why? Because its fun, portable and low cost- and most of all because it works! Its not unusual to trim down by 10 kilogrammes or more and multiply your personal bests if you train regularly.
We want to be stronger, faster, fitter and more flexible so will add anything to our workouts that helps us achieve that better so our circuits and routines will change often but our underlying ethos remains the same - we will be stronger, faster, fitter!
